I HAVE LIVED IN JONESBORO SINCE 1945. I HAVE FOUND OVER MY MANY YEARS OF DEALING WITH BOTH PRIVATE COMPANIES AND GOVERNMENTAL;THAT WHEN THEY ACTUALLY DON'T WANT TO SPEND ANY MONEY OR MAKE TRUE CHANGES TO THE ORGANIZATION OR GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY, (i.e. BETTER THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF A CITY) THEY FORM A COMMITTEE OR CALL FOR A STUDY. A STUDY FOR A "MASTER PLAN" FOR JONESBORO WAS MADE UNDER MAYOR BEODELL. THIS "MASTER PLAN" INCLUDED NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, AND WEST BY-PASSES INCLUDING SEVERAL PUBLIC MEETINGS. AFTER BRODELL LEFT OFFICE THE CITY CAME UP WITH A FEASABLE BUT NOT THE ACTUAL REASON FOR SCRAPPING THAT "MASTER PLAN" THE CITY THEN EMBARKED ON REWRITING A "MASTER PLAN" WITH PUBLIC MEETINGS. NOW SURPRISE! SURPRISE! ANOTHER STUDY HAS EMERGED, AND THE MEDIA REPRESENTED BY "KAIT" HAS ONCE AGAIN BOUGHT ANOTHER LOAD OF THE CITY'S ANIMAL WASTE. IN LIGHT OF THIS FACT I KNOW OF A BRIDGE LINKING MANHATTAN ISLAND AND BROOKLYN, N.Y. THAT IS STILL FOR SALE.

KAIT did a wonderful job in giving aid to the tornado victims. But, as yet, I have seen no effort to aid those people in the flood ravaged areas in Clay, Randolph, Lawrence, and Jackson counties along the Black, Spring and White Rivers. Is something being planned to help or does KAIT's "Good Neighbor Policy" not apply here?

Dear Tim,
Tonite while watching your news and seeing the constant ads about the thefts of donated goods I say enough already. You just said lock your cars while shopping ect. Don't put presants under your trees where thy can be seen from outside. Don't put empty boxes outside cuz thiefs will know whats inside. Be sure if you have home security turn it on when you leave. Now when you show people taking donated suff it's in a big pile outside or spread to overflowing in an area which isn't clearly defined, at least not from where I'm sitting.I think I'll be ashamed at the big coverage you plan to show tomorrow,Ashamed you haven't taken better measures to protect the goods donated. If there so valuable how come it looks like all is out in the weather where road dirt and rain could in fact rune it? I'm commenting on only whats on the TV. I've yet to hear how this stuff is handled! Is it picked up regularly? Is it covered from the elements and so on? One could come up with more than cameras to protect these goods,yes/no? Even a better way of acquiring and handling these items would be a better way than all the other! Get your news anchors to promote a better way of doing this project instead of the constant wasted air time and shame! It's not realy wasted tho cuz it got me to write! Maybe you've already though of this and is part of the planned brodcast tomorrow I hope so. Later Geo.

i agree with teddy. But the goverment is pushing towards more people talking spanish, instead of spainish talking people speeking more english. Such as our kids in school. I walk into Walmarts and here as much spanish as i do english. If you want to live in the U.S., then talk the talk.
