So, there was a HUGE football game in Region 8 this past weekend. More than 28,000 people filled the stands on Saturday to watch our ASU Red Wolves take on the Memphis Tigers. The excitement in the stands was contagious. And the Red Wolves under new Coach Gus Malzahn did not disappoint. While ASU came out on top, it doesn't mean they didn't have to fight for it. That's one thing I have to say for this year's team, they fight until the end. Since I'm new to Region 8, I'm learning what it's like to be a Red Wolves fan. And I have to say it feels pretty good. I've been educated on the football program in the past and it's clear ASU Athletics and Coach Malzahn are working hard to take this program to the next level. But they can't do it without us, the fans. As one of my mentors always tells me, remember this is a marathon, not a sprint. So this is a season, not just one game. They need us cheering so loudly this Saturday they will hear us in Nebraska and then the following weekend they need us to fill the stands again and cheer just as loudly. When you support the football team, you support ASU and when you support ASU it makes it so much easier to interest graduating seniors to become students. Support the ASU Red Wolves Football and help make this A Better Region 8.
