There's nothing that makes me angrier than scams especially scams that prey on older people. Recently, Region 8 News Reporter Will Dupree informed us of a new scam that has hit Region 8. People are receiving automated calls that promise seniors a free medical alert system. The company claims to be American Senior Benefits. The robo call asks you to press one if you are interested. If you get a call like this, you are urged to hang up immediately. The call sounds legit and even claims the system is endorsed by the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association. But this is just not true. What can we do to fight back? If you have elderly parents, family members or friends, be sure they all know about this scam and do not get sucked into the promise of something free. The only real way to shut down scammers is to ignore their calls. If you get a call like this, hang up. If you get an email promising you free money, delete it. Never wire money, give money or share any personal information with someone you don't know. Fighting scammers will make this a Better Region 8.
I'm truly enjoying the design and layout of your blog. It's a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a designer to create your theme? Great work!
